[Breaking-News] Is Elderbrook Release His New album Why Do We Shake In The Cold? This Week ? Deet Inside

ELDERBROOK delivers a stunning new video for the title track from his debut album ‘WHY DO WE SHAKE IN THE COLD?’, arriving September 18th via Big Beat Records. The ethereal new video – which follows on from an exemplary run of visuals from his debut body of work – encapsulates the overarching emotions of the song, dialing up the importance of human connection.

Speaking on the new video and the title track for his upcoming debut album, ELDERBROOK shares; “This is about people needing people. The idea that we shake in the cold to let other people know that we need them close. Though I’m not sure this is a scientifically valid theory, the idea is something that I love. That we show we are sad to let others know we need them. That’s why I named the album after Elderbrook’s theory of humanity and shaking. A lot of this album explores themes that are based around people needing people and I couldn’t think of anything more perfect.”

Grammy and Ivor Novello nominated, live phenomenon, producer, singer, songwriter ELDERBROOK continues to cement himself as a multi-faceted talent who can effortlessly explore and push boundaries within his genre. Collaborations with Diplo, Camelphat, Black Coffee, Blonde, and Rudimental have earnt him a revered global reputation as an artist in demand.

Expect an exemplary debut record that intricately explores themes of identity, emotion, and the importance of human connection, presenting ELDERBROOK as a unique artist in the crossover electronic space making emotive, uplifting music with a sensitive storytelling element attached to it.

Speaking on the album narrative, he shares; “Sonically, the album brings my sound back to a more indie/alternative world than I’ve been in a while. Still taking my love of electronic music but mixing it together with music styles I started with and that I’ve always been inspired by.”

Can't help the way the body moves

Why do we shake in the cold, naked and stoned

And how that every time we choose

Something has to break in the fall and I pay for it all

If only I could tell myself at twenty years

That someone else was waiting alone, well I would have run

If only I could start again, I'd pick apart the pieces

And assemble them all, the way that I want

Why do we shake in the cold? [2x]

Can't help the way the body moves

Why do we shake in the cold, naked and stoned

And how that every time we choose

Something has to break in the fall and I pay for it all

Why do we shake in the cold?

So, teach me how to swim, before I learn to fly

Oh, I feel it on my skin, so hold me till I dry

Why do we shake in the cold?

Elderbrook explained this song in his video documentary published on the 11th of August 2020 by saying, "The idea is we shake in the cold evolutionary speaking to let the people know that we need them close, that we need them close by to huddle together and warm up which kind of is a metaphor for if you're sad you show it you show people you're sad as kind of a way of asking for help."

Two young men are brought together in a series of repeating loops, in Czech director Jára Moravec's video for Elderbrook's Why Do We Shake In The Cold? The two friends - played by dancers Antonín Ničovský and Daniel Vitešník - stumble around the palatial location in a state of wonder, transitioning into distorted choreography and glitchy movements. Completely mesmerising, the use of a drone-mounted 360 degree camera makes for hypnotic and mind-bending shots, elevating the otherworldly nature of the concept and blurring the boundary between reality and fiction. JÁRA MORAVEC: "Delirium induced fata morgana brings together two lone friends. Constantly piercing through their bubbles, they seem stuck in ever repeating loops - Elderbrook's new video is a timely reminder of invisible habits and patterns that form our decisions and affect our lives."
